I'm Robert. For 20+ years I've worked with leadership teams across Europe — from multinationals with 30,000 people to growth companies at €10M. What I've learned in that time isn't about me. It's about you.
Yoda doesn't fight Darth Vader. Gandalf doesn't slay the dragon. The guide's job is to hand the hero the map — and then get out of the way while they win.
That's exactly how I work. The system I've built over 20+ years exists to make your leadership team — not me — the engine that carries your organization forward. If you need me again, it should be because you want to go further. Not because nothing stuck.
I spent years explaining what I do in terms of tools. Play2Win. Fit4Tomorrow. Lean5Sigma. People heard "MBTI consultant" or "Lean trainer" and slotted me into a category. That category was always too small.
The tools are mechanisms. The transformation is much larger. What I actually help CEOs do is move their organization through a specific evolution:
That is an incredibly compelling destination for CEOs of 50–500 person organizations — because it's exactly the transition they're living through. My job is to make the path visible and walk it with them.
Joop Evers was Manager of the Year. He took the worst-performing division of a 30,000-person global company and made it the best. 450 to 1,400 people in four years. While competitors downsized, he grew.
Brilliant leaders from other countries visited. Studied him. Copied everything they could see. Nothing worked. So I did what nobody had done: I reverse-engineered exactly what made it work — not the speeches, the invisible leadership principles underneath. I found nine of them.
When I made those nine principles visible and transferable, suddenly it worked elsewhere too.
"This is the first time we managed to successfully replicate my success. Since we used the blueprint, 2 other countries in our multinational are moving up the ranks fast."
The lesson: The problem is never the people. It's the playbook. Make the invisible visible and transferable — same people, completely different results. This became Fit4Tomorrow©.
Two senior consultants invited me into a culture transformation at one of the largest asset managers in the Netherlands. Before agreeing, I asked one question: "What do you actually want to achieve?"
Their answer: take control, bring in more consultants, earn on volume. I proposed the opposite — give 20% of the toolkit to the client's own people, and coach them the way I learned in the outdoor world: direct feedforward, real ownership, end-to-end accountability.
From day one, the organization's own people went all in. The consultant dependency never formed.
"You achieved in one year what twenty consultants couldn't accomplish in the two years before you."
The lesson: External capability creates dependency. The only improvement that lasts is the kind your own people own and operate. This became Lean5Sigma© — and the founding principle of everything FTC does.
In every great transformation story, the guide doesn't slay the dragon. Yoda doesn't fight Darth Vader. Gandalf doesn't climb into Mordor. Obi-Wan steps aside. The guide hands the hero the map — the method, the framework, the capability — and watches them win.
That's the role I play. Not as an expert who does the work for you. As someone who hands your leadership team a method they can own, apply, and keep using long after the engagement ends.
My goal is to make myself unnecessary as fast as possible. The capability stays inside your organization permanently — not walking out when I do.
"Within three weeks, two handoff problems that had persisted for over a year simply disappeared. We didn't reorganize. We repositioned two leaders based on their wiring. That was it."
None of these tools exist in isolation. Each one builds the conditions the next one requires. Together they form a complete system for moving an organization from founder-dependent to self-sustaining.
